Beijing would recruit 4,000 web security officers to oversee the internet cafes and service providers in response to Beijing Internet Safety Service Centre’s latest mission of “erasing all sort of unhealthy information and safeguarding the operating environment of all websites”. The move demonstrated the authority’s strict control of information flow on the Internet.
