Zeng Jinyan (曾金燕), the wife of AIDS activist Hu Jia (胡佳), who has been under de facto house arrest since July 17, wrote a letter this week to the mayor of Beijing complaining of police harassment and rights violations. Two weeks ago, police began following Zeng as well. Radio Free Asia carried out an interview with Zeng on her reasons for writing this letter and what she hopes to gain from it.
