On October 25, dissident Li Jianping (李建平) was sentenced to two years' imprisonment on charges of “inciting subversion” for publishing critical essays on overseas websites, according to his wife. She says an appeal will be filed, contending that the court has not established how the articles involved any incitement of subversion.
