China accuses detained HK reporter of spying
In a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry, China confirmed detention of Ching Cheong (程翔), a prominent Hong Kong reporter who work with Singapore’s Strait Times, for spying activities in China. The authority said that Ching admitted engagement in “intelligence gathering activities” and acceptance of “huge amount of spying fee” and confessed spying for foreign organisations.
