Hein Verbruggen, the head of the International Olympic Committee inspection team for the 2008 Beijing Games, has rejected a report by Amnesty International that criticizes the development of human rights in China in the lead up to the 2008 Beijing Olympics. He stated that Amnesty International's claims that the Olympics have led to a worsening human rights situation are untrue.
