Chinese Commander Arrested in Deadly Protest Crackdown

A police commander in Guangdong Province has been arrested for allegedly ordering officers to open fire at a crowd of protestors on December 6, resulting in an unknown number of deaths. While officials said three were killed, villagers said at least eight had been shot dead at the scene. The protestors were rallying against he construction of a wind power plant.
