A deputy editor with the Taizhou Evening Post in Zhejiang Province who was severely beaten by police officers last October has died of liver and kidney failure, his family said. Wu Xianghu became the target of a police attack last year because of a report he published about exorbitant fees levied by the traffic authorities.
