北京高法拒绝记者赵岩上诉听证 (Beijing Higher People's Court Denies Zhao Yan an Appeal Hearing)

According to Zhao Yan's lawyer, on November 2 the Beijing Higher People's Court ruled that during Zhao's upcoming appeal trial, no oral arguments or defense may be heard. Instead, Zhao will have to plead his case based only on written submissions to the court. The trial could be held in the coming two weeks.
