Huang Liangtian (黄良天), the chief editor of the outspoken monthly Baixing (百姓) has been removed from his post after a series of high-profile investigative reports on corruption, land disputes and workers' rights, which "spoke out for the ordinary citizens but angered the authorities”. Huang said he has been transferred to a publication which "does not produce real news".
