Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton signaled that the Obama administration would break from the previous administration’s approach and press Chinese leaders on human rights and climate change. In her first major speech since assuming the post of Secretary of State, Clinton told an audience at the Asia Society that the U.S. and China can “benefit from, and contribute to, each other’s successes.”
