Zhejiang-based dissident Zhu Yufu (朱虞夫) was tried on January 31 by the Hangzhou Municipal Intermediate People's Court on charges of inciting subversion of state power. A verdict is expected to be announced later in February. Zhu, a co-founder of the China Democratic Party, was detained in March 2011 during the crackdown on the "jasmine rallies" inspired by the Arab Spring.
